Country star LeAnn Rimes was spotted at Los Angeles International Airport yesterday. She paired her Gypsy 05 Tamara Scarf
with a chic neutral colored ensemble and sky-high platforms. The perfect outfit to travel in. Comfortable, yet ready to hit the pavement after landing in a new city. Just add a little lip gloss after the plane touches down!
LeAnn is getting married this year, she and fiance Eddie Cibrian haven't set a date yet, but we can't wait to see her in her wedding dress!
The creative and talented hands behind the gorgeous designs that come out of our doors each and every month are Osi and her amazing design team. These fantastic women raise the bar with every season they design. To see each sketch that starts in a notebook come to life is nothing short of breath taking.
I sat down with Ms. L, one of our Senior Designers this morning to chat about inspirations, keeping up on trends and what's in store for Gypsy 05.
S: How do you stay informed on trends, both current and forecasted?
L: By simply stepping outside! We're right in the middle of a fashion melting pot in Los Angeles. Whether it's a European tourist snapping pictures in Hollywood or a beach bum lounging in Venice, there's style everywhere. That, and Italian Vogue. You know, because they're basically three years into the future.
S: What was the inspiration behind the Lulu Collection, that just arrived?
L: Spring! When you think of Spring you think of flowers blooming, being outdoors and lots of pastels, soft but feminine colors. We're just leaving a season that's full of layering and keeping warm, so I really wanted a silhouette and a dye process that would allow minimal layering/accessorizing. You really only need a couple bangles and some great sandals to wear with the maxi and the tube mini.
S: What's in store for upcoming seasons with Gypsy 05?
L: Some heavier knit/chunky sweaters and ponchos, even some metallics! We're introducing floral in the beginning of Summer. (Guys, I've seen it...you are going to LOVE IT) Other than that, you'll just have to wait and see!
What comes to mind when you think Spring? Romance, picnics, gardening, pastels? There's nothing quite like finally being able to slip on that Spring dress you've been eyeing all Winter and stepping outside to find warm sunshine.
This Spring we're all about simple, light-weight and flirty silhouettes. Wear the LuLu Tube Maxi Dress for an outdoor excursion like a picnic, a day on the water or a brunch date with your girlfriends. Pair with sandals or flats and a statement jewelry piece for a super simple and chic day time look.
For those of us that don't get much of a Spring, and are launched straight into Summer (think West Coast!), we'll be hitting the beach in no time. While wearing cut-off shorts and a bikini top is super cute, let's get a litte more creative, shall we? Throw on the Raya Polo Maxi Dress in cream/grey with a bright colored swimsuit underneath. You'll show just enough color through the light-weight fabric for a little pop, and you'll be ready for post-beach cocktails without having to change a thing.
If love is in the air, you'll need a new date night ensemble to make heads turn (especially his!). A traditional little black dress is always a good staple for a night out on the town with your favorite guy, but let's throw some color and a fun silhouette into the mix. The LuLu Silk Jumper in olive, navy or coral ombre is the perfect solution. It's silk, so it isn't too casual to wear and you'll get to show off your stems in those cute cuffed shorts. Pair with sky-high platforms and a simple cardigan, you know, in case you get chilly!
Our newest run of sweats and cozy tees, Free Spirit, is probably the cutest think you could POSSIBLY wear while staying comfortable. Throw on the shorts for your morning jog, the tank for yoga (namaste!) and any combination of the sweats for those brisk Spring evenings.
Whether you're in New York or New Mexico, Los Angeles or London, we've got you covered this Spring.

It's maxi dress season! (Although you should and could wear yours all year long!). With Spring Break, cruise season and Summer on the horizon you've got no excuse not to stock up. Luckily for you, we've got 4 amazing new styles and over 10 different colors/dye proccesses to choose from! You do have to wait another couple days though, these guys don't go live on the site until March 1st. So mark you calendars ladies!
From silks, to cotton stripes and a new short sleeve design, it will be hard to pick just one. Consider yourself warned.
It's happened again! Two celebrities stepped out in West Hollywood in the same Gypsy dress! Great minds obviously think alike. The two even styled them similarly! Minka with a denim jacket and Alexa in leather. Both with super cute cross-body bags. So, we pose this question: Who wore the Checkerboard Silk Maxi better? From Prada to Nada's Alexa Vega or The Roommate's Minka Kelly? We can't decide!
Taylor Assymetrical Tee , Love Life Cuffed Sweats
This is Chelsea. Not only does she have great personal style, but she's got a killer eye for trends and putting full outfits together. I asked her to choose some of her favorites and tell us why, this is what she picked! Here's Chelsea:
Love Life is springs newest, softest and stylish sweatpants! The combination of sweats with a silk off the shoulder blouse makes comfortable look cute and sexy. There's a fine line between cute/cozy and frumpy/careless. If you feel like keeping a low profile but what to stay stylish, mix up your sweats with feminine touches like showing off some skin or tucking them into boots.
Taylor Sheer Maxi, Silver Wrap Bracelets, Peace String Cuff, Peace Stone Bracelets
I love mixing textures and playing with different fabrics. This sheer, silk floor length frock is best suited with a cotton mini dress underneath and playful accessories. Layering necklaces with this dress is best, it adds some bang to your neckline, serves as eye candy down to the synched waist and leads the eye down to the thigh high slit. Complete the look with platform sandals or if you're a tomboy like me, tone the dress down with a pair of combat boots and a messy bun!
Layering is the key factor in any outfit. Pair a sweet mini dress with a cropped crochet sweater and your outfit is fresh and original. Again, necklaces spice up the casual look and wrap bracelets create a flirty and playful look! Plus if you get tired of your outfit mid-day, take the sweater off and bear your shoulders for a whole new look.
Thanks for sharing, Chelsea!
