outfitting oneself in a sartorially offensive way that will result in repelling members of the opposite sex. Such garments include but are not limited to harem pants, boyfriend jeans, overalls (see: human repelling), shoulder pads, full length jumpsuits, jewelry that resembles violent weaponry and clogs.
–verb (used without object),-pell·ing, -pell·ed. to commit the act of repelling men:

In other words, it's the trends that girls love to love and guys love to hate. Does this mean we'll EVER stop dressing for other girls? No. Does this mean that we'll bat off the obnoxious men at bars solely by our shoe choice? Perhaps. And friends, that makes repelling worth everyone's while.
Leandra Medine is the master-mind behind ManRepeller.com and @manrepeller on Twitter. She says what every girl is thinking, and has coined her own terms and phrases to go along with it (Reference the blog to see what I mean, she'll have you in stitches after the first paragraph). And no, she's not making fun of said fashions, after all, she wears it all too. It just goes to show that most trends aren't made for the faint of heart but for the independent lady that doesn't mind getting checked out by more women than men.
I asked Leandra to pick a couple of her favorite pieces from Gypsy 05, and here's a sneak peek at what she chose and why (all pieces will be available in her look book, coming soon!)
Fall Faux Denim Leggings: Man Repeller's never say no to jeggings. We wear them proud. Bonus for the delicious olive color.
Natasha Oversize Crop Sweater: This black oversized sweater will most likely become an additional limb on my body. Love when that happens.
And guys, she used a #hashtag (Twitter terms for those of you that don't know/live under a rock) in her email to me. My blog crushin' went through the roof after that.
**Gypsy 05 will be featuring our favorite bloggers every week, with their favorite picks of the line.
